Anxiety and worry are part of our daily lives. We tend not to realise how anxious we are until we are in a situation in which we notice our heartbeat or sweaty palms. These are often temporary as we can relax and return to our daily routine. However, sometimes they can be long-lasting, and they can start interfering with our daily routine, for instance, they can cause sleep problems, difficulties with concentration, and problems with interpersonal relationships. Quite a lot of people find themselves worrying constantly even if things seem to go well. These are especially common problems among University students as they are constantly exposed to academic demands and pressure to perform well and the uncertainty of the future.
Do they sound familiar to you?
Or do you know someone who might be going through these struggles?
Are you a student at Ulster University?
If yes, look no further.
We have developed Cerina - a mobile application for excessive anxiety and worry. We would like to invite you to a research study in which we will test if this application helps you manage excessive anxiety and worry symptoms. Cerina offers a digital version of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy at the accessibility of your fingertips for free.
